收录了几个人的歌而已，Keith Christmas是位吉他高手，主要是姓比较好，^_^ 没想到Jars of Clay也是拿过格莱美的乐队了，Love Came Down At Christmas的伴奏很棒，太空感十足。Lie Still这首歌很好听，但我找不到太多关于歌手的信息，有个myspace访问量很少的歌手好像是他，但不感确定，稍后去证实一下。

2004年一月北安普顿出现了一次明显的降温，寒冷的空气确没有影响到年轻人的热情，David Jones (vocals/guitar)和他的朋友Sam Harvey (guitar)找到了他们的老同学Ben Winton (bass)和Lee Iron(guitar)把他们组队的想法告诉了他们，大家一拍即和。随后又找来网上认识的朋友Andy Hobson来作为他们的鼓手，The Departure正式出发。

Jones说：“我们非常高兴能够组建我们自己的乐队，我们要做我们的音乐，我们要将80年代的声音从新带到现在” 4个月后他们便签约Parlophone Records，许多人对此不屑一故，向他们投
向了嘲笑、怀疑的目光。但这不会对乐队没有什么影响，在随Placebo等乐队进行一些巡演后，8月份便推出了首支单曲 All Mapped Out，这只在英国单曲排行榜上排在了30位，看来乐队并没有得到太多的关注，随后10月发行的单曲Be My Enemy被收录到FIFA 06的游戏原声中。

2005年6月13日首张专辑Dirty Words发行，专辑由New Order, Suede and Happy Mondays等人的制作人Steve Osborne跨刀，但并没有引起特别大的反响，评论家对专辑的评价也是中规中矩“专辑给我们带来了一些悲伤的，渺茫的感觉但太过倚重80年代的音乐而略显肤浅”

随后他们也只是在英国本土做一些巡演和参加一些音乐节，06年初吉他手Lee Irons 突然宣布离开乐队，理由是音乐理念不同，随后鼓手Andy Hobson也宣布离队，看来乐队内部真的出现了问题，大家开始有了不同的想法，Simon Alexander随即替补入队，又重新使乐队得以继续下去，08年初乐队宣布第二张inventions的发行后乐队即将解散，而外界普遍猜测这次不是乐队内部的矛盾，而是唱片公司有意解散乐队，而另外重组。

乐队短短的几年间作品不多，而第一张专辑我也没有听到过，但08年的这张专辑确是比较喜欢。原因也比较简单：旋律，流畅的旋律。bass和鼓点配合的恰到好处，时不时的假声同样令人印象深刻。
